For those looking to begin or expand their skills. We will go over garden design, soil preparation, seed and plant selection, pests, and lots more. This class is designed to be an overview that can be applied to any type of gardening. Cost: $35.00, includes a workbook and 5 plants you start from seed in the class.
Herb Gardening: May 13, 2017 9 am – 11:30 am –
If you are interested in growing herbs and using them in your home, you will love this class! We will learn about the care of herbs, harvesting, storing, and using them in many different ways. This is our most popular class! Cost: $35.00- includes a workbook and 3 herb plants.
Composting: May 13, 2017 1 pm- 3:30 pm
One of the best things you can add to your gardens is compost! Making compost is a simple process that anyone can do. Come learn the ins and outs of how to make black gold for your gardens! You will also learn how to make compost tea. Cost: $35.00- includes workbook and 1 bottle of compost tea
Growing and Using Medicinal Herbs: May 25, 2017 9 am – 11:30 am-Herbs have so many uses and many of those can make you healthier and happier! If you are looking to lead a healthier life by the use of natural ways, then you need to come to this class. We will learn the basics of how herbs work with the body to stimulate the body to do what it was made to do- heal itself. The methods of making tinctures, herbal teas, and other preparations will also be taught and students will take home a tincture of their own choosing. Price: $35.00- includes workbook and tincture.
The classes are one day classes but there are 2 dates offered for some classes. There is a 25 student limit on each class.

Fall Gardening: Who wouldn’t want to garden in the fall when it is cool? This is the time to grow lettuce, kale, beets and so much more. We will learn how to fix soil problems, choose the locations and arrange the timing of plantings. Price includes workbook and 5 veggie plants that you will pot yourself.

A great class for beginners looking to learn about vegetable and herb gardening. The class will be from 10 am to 1 pm. The class will be held at Hollyberry Herb Farm and include lots of hands on activities and information on choosing heirloom vegetables, growing conditions, raised beds, and using compost and other organic methods. The price of the class also includes ten (10) vegetable or herb plants.
